Directions

At the crossroads of New England, the Publick House Historic Inn is one-quarter mile from the junction of the Boston - New York and Springfield - Providence highways, with entrances on each route.  It is also conveniently situated one mile from Exit 9 on the Massachusetts Turnpike.

Within easy reach of these main arteries, the Publick House is far enough off the beaten path so that its quiet beauty and charm is not affected.  Travelers say that it is the "only" place to stop between New York and Boston.  Centrally located for New England travelers, it is near several metropolitan areas and well-situated for stopovers on long journeys.

From Old Sturbridge Village:

Take a right onto Route 20 East to set of lights

take a right onto Route 131

Publick House is 1/2 mile down on the right

From New York City:

I-95 North to I-91 North to Hartford I-84 East

To Logan Airport:

Mass Pike (Route 90) to the Ted Williams Tunnel

this will take you directly to the airport

To Bradley International Airport:

Mass Pike Route 90 to exit 4

to Route 91 South to 291 West

To Worcester Regional Airport
Take right on Airport Road, turn right onto Goddard Memorial Drive, turn left onto Route 9 and stay straight onto Main Street.  Main Street will become Route 12.  Take I-90 Mass Turnpike Toll Ramp, keep left at the fork in the ramp.  Exit I-84 West (Exit 9) then take Exit 3B to Route 20 West, stay in left lane then take left at lights on Route 131.  The Publick House is a half mile on the right.
