GINGERBREAD
- 3/4 CUP SUGAR
- 1/2 CUP VEGETABLE SHORTENING OR BUTTER
- 2 EGGS
- 3 CUPS OF ALL-PURPOSE FLOUR
- 1 TABLESPOON BAKING POWDER
- 1 TABLESPOON CINNAMON
- 1-1/2 TABLESPOONS GINGER
- 1 TEASPOON SALT
- 1 TEASPOON BAKING SODA
- 1/2 TEASPOON CLOVES
- 3/4 CUP DARK MOLASSES
- 1-1/4 CUPS MILK
CREAM SUGAR AND SHORTENING.
ADD EGGS AND MIX WELL.
SIFT ALL DRY INGREDIENTS.
ADD MOLASSES, MILK AND DRY INGREDIENTS TO THE CREAMED
SUGAR AND SHORTENING. MIX
THOROUGHLY.
PLACE IN A 13" X 9" X 2" PAN
BAKE AT 350 DEGREE OVEN APPROXIMATELY 30 MINUTES
SERVE WITH WHIPPED CREAM.
